December 19

Today we slept in until 8:30.  Gabriel has coughed quite a bit in his sleep so we have him in bed with us for now and he seems to do better.  It is easier this way to get fluids in him in the middle of the night when his throat gets dry, I just fumble about the bedside table until I feel his bottle.  It is working best for all of us.  After we got dressed we headed out for some more sightseeing.  Joe and I have never walked so much in our lives.  The weather is beautiful, the sights are fantastic and our kiddo loves being outside.  You can put him in his stroller and he is content for hours.  I took some photos just for Uncle Lou while we had lunch today. Everywhere you look you see tinsel or garland hanging on trees and bridges and signs, just everywhere Lou, everywhere.  It reminded me of the funny Christmas story that Jan tells of Lou hanging the garland on the Christmas tree.  Lou would be in garland heaven here!  I will put some pictures below, just for Uncle Boo!  Gabriel has emerged even more today.  His personality is delightful.  He is starting to be more vocal and is a good and easy going baby.  At the moment he has been carrying a shoe box around the room and using it as a stool.  It was a box for baby shoes so it is really small but he loves this box.  He drags it all over.  Tomorrow we prepare for our consulate appt on Thursday and I will start packing for our return flight.  I am so ready to come home.  Daryl and Heaven congratulations on the new granddaughter.  To all my kids at home, daddy and I love you so much.  Just a few more days!  Sophia, Mommy will be right back, goodnight moon, goodnight Gabriel!  Love, Mommy and Daddy
