December 15

| Today is Thursday the evening of the 14th. I have
lost all track of time and have misdated most of my posts. Today was
the first really cold day here. It was cloudy, windy and the
temperature was high 60. With the wind chill it felt much
colder. We set out today to find someone to cut Gabriel's
hair. We went to the Victory hair salon and found a young man there
who gave him his first little boy haircut. Or rather first haircut
we have had for him. He now looks more like a little boy but people
keep saying "Oh what a cute baby girl, such big beautiful
eyes." He does have some big, big eyes but he looks all boy to
me. The Chinese we speak to think he is only 12 months old since he
is so tiny. They can't believe he is 19 months. After the
haircut and a photo opportunity with a Santa display we walked to Lucy's
for lunch. Gabriel ate 2 jars of baby food and about 1/4 of a
grilled cheese sandwich. He loved both. We then took a long
stroll around the water's edge and ended up at the park. We took
Gabriel out of his stroller and thought he might like to play. He
looked at the Chinese children and pretended he could not walk. I am
not sure what is up with that, maybe he is just a bit shy with
strangers. He is so outgoing when we are in our hotel room. We
talked to a few of the locals and found a lovely woman who was from the
same province as Sophia our daughter. We also visited with a mom who
is here alone adopting a boy also. She will be meeting us at Church
Sunday and we also will be flying out on the same day. Now for all
my Foshan Mommies, I spoke to our guide about 30 minutes ago. We
leave our hotel at 1:00 Friday and go buy treats for all the
children. Then we head to the Orphanage. They have us
scheduled to arrive at the children's playtime. I have lots of film
and will take as many pictures as I can. I know to get Xian Bing,
Xian Qing, and Xian Duan. I will get lots of these particular kids,
are there any more specific children that I need to be taking pictures
of? If so, please email me quickly so I will have the name. I
plan on taking pictures of all the children but more of these
kiddos. Yes, lots more of these kiddos. Will be posting again
soon. To my kids at home, I love you, I love you, I love you!
Daddy and I wish you were all here with us. Big hugs and kisses and
Sophia, Mommy and Daddy will be right back, I promise.
